Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ConvertCanvas ("ConvertCanvas", "the App", "the Service"), a Shopify application provided to merchants ("you", "the Merchant"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ConvertCanvas is a visual page builder for Shopify. It lets you design pages on a drag-and-drop canvas, compiles those designs into native Online Store 2.0 theme files (JSON templates and Liquid sections), and syncs them to a draft theme in your store via the Shopify Admin API. The App requests only the read_themes and write_themes access scopes. Publishing always targets a draft theme first; nothing is applied to your live theme without your approval in Shopify.

2. Plans and billing

• The App offers a Free plan and paid plans (Basic at $29/month, Plus at $79/month), as described on convertcanvas.com.
• All charges are handled by Shopify Billing and appear on your Shopify invoice. The App never collects or stores payment card details.
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically on Shopify's billing cycle until cancelled.
• You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the App's billing page, or by uninstalling the App, which cancels the subscription automatically. Charges and refunds are governed by Shopify's billing terms; proration and refund handling follow Shopify's standard app-charge policies.
• Plan state is authoritative in Shopify's systems; feature limits in the App follow the plan confirmed by Shopify.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to publish content that is illegal, deceptive, infringing, or harmful.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the App itself, or to interfere with its operation or security.
• Use the Service in violation of Shopify's Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Intellectual property

• Your content is yours. You retain all rights to the page designs, text, images, and other content you create with the App.
• Compiled theme files are yours to keep. Theme files published by the App become part of your theme. They keep working after you uninstall, and you may edit or delete them like any other theme file. Uninstalling removes your access to the builder, not your published pages.
• The App is ours. The builder, its editor, widget library source code, and branding remain our property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App while it is installed.

5. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for reviewing pages in the draft theme before publishing them live, and for the accuracy and legality of the content you publish.
• You are responsible for maintaining your Shopify store, theme, and any third-party apps you use alongside ConvertCanvas.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated theme files will be compatible with every theme or future Shopify change.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App. On uninstall, your data in the App is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy; your published theme files remain in your theme.
• We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or of Shopify's platform policies, with notice where practicable.

9. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of [Your jurisdiction].
